Our Communication Design Student Muratcan Koylan’s Works to be Featured at International Exhibitions
Mr. Muratcan Koylan, our sophomore student at the Department of Communication Design at the Faculty of Architecture and Design, has been admitted to the international exhibition series "Mail Art Exhibition Peace and Harmony”. Organized by India’s renowned artist Ms. Mariska Ondrich, who was previously featured during the I biennial in 2008 and 2009, and Art Now in 2008, "Mail Art Exhibition Peace and Harmony” is organized in two parts. The first leg of the exhibition took place in India in July. The second leg of the exhibition will take place in France in October.
Muratcan is featured at the exhibitions with his works on world peace. The French edition of the exhibition series will open its doors to art aficionados at La Galerie de l'Office de Tourisme in Dijon, France on October 20 to showcase the unique works of 15 artists from 11 countries, from Canada to South Africa.
Muratcan stated that the Department of Communication Design at Özyeğin University has expanded his creativity and viewpoint with its unique educational philosophy and its outstanding cadre of faculty from different disciplines. Muratcan also remarked that the close communication between faculty and students, and in particular Department Head Assistant Prof. Simge Esin Orhun’s unwavering commitment “to prepare students seeking lifelong success” have played an important role in his achievement.
Founded within the Faculty of Architecture and Design at Özyeğin University, the Department of Communication Design aims to teach how to convey ideas and information consisting of image, text and sound in the most efficient form.
