Dr. Shervin R. Arashloo received his B.Sc. degree in Electronic Engineering from Shahid Beheshti University in 2005, his M.Sc. degree from Shahrood University of Technology in 2007, and his Ph.D. degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Surrey in 2010. Before joining Özyeğin University as an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering in 2026, he held faculty positions at Bilkent University, Tarbiat Modares University, and Urmia University, and served as a Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Surrey (CVSSP). He served as an Associate Editor for leading journals including Pattern Recognition, IEEE Transactions on CSVT, and Neurocomputing. As a principal investigator of several projects funded by TÜBİTAK and other institutions, his research lies at the intersection of computer vision, machine learning, and data science. He focuses primarily on the mathematical and learning foundations of trust-worthy AI, anomaly detection, deepfake and adversarial image detection.
