Sinem Kol received her B.Sc. degree in Electronics Engineering from Gebze Technical University in 2021. She then began her M.Sc. studies in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Özyeğin University, where she also served as a teaching assistant and later as a research assistant.

During her master’s studies, she co-authored the paper “Spatio-Temporal Impact of EV Charging Load on Locational Marginal Prices,” with Asst. Prof. Göktürk Poyrazoğlu, which received the Best Paper Award at the 9th International Youth Conference on Energy (IYCE’24) held in France.

In 2024, she continued her academic journey by pursuing a Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Özyeğin University. She actively takes interdisciplinary courses in industrial engineering and data science, and as an active member of the academic publication team, Kol focuses her research on optimization, electricity markets, energy economics and policies, and reactive power market design.
