Information Regarding Campus Emergency Management

Dear Members of the OzU Community, 

We would like to extend our best wishes to everyone regarding the recent earthquakes in Istanbul.

As experts have indicated, moving within the building, heading towards staircases, or attempting to go outside during an earthquake can pose serious risks. Therefore, during the initial moments of the earthquake (until the shaking stops), the safest action is to adopt the "drop, cover, and hold on" method in a stable and secure location.

At Özyeğin University, we provide training to all our colleagues on emergency management through modules. We also organize special trainings for our emergency teams. In March 2025, We conducted system tests in all campus buildings through drills. We also provide technical control of all the systems on a monthly basis.

Our goal is to ensure your safety to the highest level during any emergency. Your contributions to make this process safer and well-informed are very valuable to us.
