Prof. Burcu Balçık Represents Özyeğin University at the Global Sustainable Development Congress

Professor Burcu Balçık from the Department of Industrial Engineering, who is also the Academic Director of the Sustainability Platform at Özyeğin University attended the Global Sustainable Development Congress 2025 (GSDC) —one of the world’s leading events in the field of sustainable development.

Held in Istanbul on June 16, 2025, the congress welcomed a distinguished international audience of thought leaders, scholars, and decision-makers committed to advancing sustainable development. During her presentation, Prof. Balçık shared the story of Özyeğin University’s ongoing sustainability transformation, highlighting the “bridge-building” approach of the Sustainability Platform and its efforts to connect academic research with social impact.

The presentation brought international visibility to the sustainability vision and strategies of both our university and the Sustainability Platform, while further cementing our university’s position as a leader in sustainability.
